UoD and University of Nineveh Forge Strategic Partnership with MoU

On December 17, 2024, the University of Duhok (UoD) and the University of Nineveh signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at fostering academic excellence, research innovation, and collaboration between universities in the Kurdistan Region and Iraq. The signing ceremony was held at UoD’s Cultural and Social Center and marked a significant milestone in enhancing inter-university cooperation.

Strengthening Academic and Research Ties

The MoU was signed by Assistant Professor Dr. Dawood Sulaiman Atrushi, President of UoD, and Professor Dr. Osama Ismail Al-Mashhadani, President of the University of Nineveh, in the presence of senior academic and administrative officials from both institutions.

The agreement outlines a commitment to:

  • Exchange of Scientific Expertise: Sharing faculty expertise and academic resources.
  • Joint Research Initiatives: Promoting collaborative studies that address regional and global challenges.
