UoD, October 8, 2026 | University Press Office (UNPO) — The University of Duhok announces that applications are now open for the Gates Cambridge Scholarship 2027–2028, offering eligible students the opportunity to pursue Master’s and PhD studies at the University of Cambridge, UK.

The scholarship is open to eligible applicants who meet the relevant academic and eligibility requirements. Applicants from the Kurdistan Region are advised to carefully review both the Gates Cambridge Scholarship criteria and the requirements of the Kurdistan Regional Government Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research before submitting their applications.

For Master’s applicants, the requirements include a minimum undergraduate GPA of 65%, while PhD applicants must have a minimum Master’s GPA of 70%. Applicants must also apply in a field related to their previous degree and meet the English-language requirements specified by their chosen programme.

Applicants who are employees or academic staff of institutions in the Kurdistan Region must also meet the relevant service requirements set by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
