Nobody’s Listening Virtual Reality Premiere and Pilot Event

On March, 11, 2021, enter for Genocide Studies-UoD in coordination with International Organization for Migration, Yazda Organization, Digital Cultural Heritage Center-Polytechnique University Suleimani, Nahrainnet and with financial support of USAID conducted the second part of “Nobody’s Listening Virtual Reality” at Center for Geocide Studies-UoD from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Fifteen students from the department of Public Policy in addition to the staff of Center of Genocide Studies were given the chance to try VR technology to see Yazidis genocide and Kojo (the village) specifically.  tragedy was shown from three different perspectives; a Yazidi child, a yazidi girl who survived, an ISIS member. The participants answered questions the organizers about their experience in this event. In fact, such events play an important role in enhancing the principles of coexistence and religious freedom, and equality in the society. It also sheds lights on the terrible crimes committed by ISIS against the Yazidis who have been victimized so as to avoid such criminal practices.
