Under the sponsorship of the dean of the college of pharmacy Dr Suzan Omer Rasool, the Department of Medicinal chemistry was conducted a workshop entitled (Eco Soap: cleaning soap made with used cooking oil) on (19 October,2023). It was prepared and organized by:

Objective: to encourage a culture of recycling, re-use of used cooking oil, environmental preservation and entrepreneurship.
After collecting enough amount of used cooking oil, the supervisors teach the students how to use the oil to prepare cleaning soap. The idea in this project is to have several places for oil collection around Duhok, mainly IDP camps and lead the students to visit the camps every month to prepare the soap with the community and give them the soaps they made.
