Under the Patronage of the president of UoD “Prof. Dr. Mosleh Duhoky” and according to the high demand requested by the Director of DGoH “Dr. Nezar Ismat”, College of Pharmacy at UoD start to produce and launch the first batch of 500 Viral Transport Medium (VTM) to transport the collected samples to the main SARS-COV2 Virus detection laboratory in Duhok central lab, while the production is a continue process and based on the requirements of the DGoH can be from 100 to 300 tubes per day.

The whole process is under the supervision of dean of the college of pharmacy “Associate Prof. Dr. Muayad A. Merza”, infectious disease specialist and the director of the COVID-19 hospitals in Duhok Governorate, and it is a collaboration between “College of Pharmacy at UoD” with the “Duhok Central Lab. & New-sanderd Co. for QA”, in which “Dr. Jasim Muhammed Abdo”, specialist in molecular biology, with assistant of some of his colleagues accomplished the production processes.
