Justification :

After the Iraqi legislative elections were held on 10/10/2021 and their results were announced and ratified by the Iraqi Federal Court on 27/12/2021, Iraq, like many other countries, is going through the stage of transition from a totalitarian regime to a democratic one, facing a set of problems and crises at the individual, social and political levels. Therefore, the results of these elections were not the only essential element in the formation of the Iraqi government, but it can be said that there are many other elements and factors that have an impact on the process of the formation of this government, which should be taken into consideration.

Objectivs :

This workshop is held with the aim of training the students of the Department of Public Policy in the practical aspect and providing them with expertise and skills which are needed in their field of specialization. The workshop aims to meet the following objectives :

Training students on how to identify problems and hold discussions in an academic manner and teach them to think critically and constructively.

Informing the participants with the constitutional frameworks and mechanisms related to the formation of the Iraqi government .

Shedding light on the internal Iraqi political situation and the ground for the formation of the Iraqi government .

Informing the students with the regional and international political situations, and the influence of the external factor on the formation of the Iraqi government .
