An international forum without borders on women’s initiatives in the scientific field was held at the Conference Hall, University of Duhok. This three day event is the first in Kurdistan Region and Iraq with the participation of 30 countries.

In his speech, the president of Duhok University, Dr. Muslih Duhoki indicated the importance of such events at the university. He also pointed out the willingness of the university to carry out more activities of this kind.

The Vice President for Scientific Affairs and the Chairperson of the forum,Dr. Luqman Hadi mentioned that this forum is of great significance as it happens in Duhok this city that hosts a large number of refugees and internally displaced people. This event is relevant to the University of Duhok in terms of international relations. Moreover, Dr. Lu qman stated that this forum is yearly held by different countries. It is mentioned that 30 countries worldwide are participating with 110 researches. Many women are participating in the forum. It is worth mentioning that the forum is an online activity due to Covid 19 pandemic. In fact the forum was supposed to be held in 2020, but delayed to 2021 because of the pandemic.
