I joined the College of Medicine, University of Duhok, on 2 April 2004 as a Researcher. Throughout my academic career, I have progressed through successive academic ranks based on my teaching, research, and scholarly achievements.

Academic Appointments

Researcher, College of Medicine, University of Duhok (02 April 2004) Assistant Lecturer (2008) Lecturer (2014), following the publication of three peer-reviewed research papers Assistant Professor (2023)

I have 20 years of teaching experience in medical education, with a primary specialization in Molecular Cancer Studies. During this period, I have taught undergraduate medical and health sciences students in subjects related to molecular biology, molecular oncology, cancer genetics, molecular diagnostics, and research methodology. My teaching integrates current scientific evidence with practical laboratory applications to help students develop both theoretical knowledge and research skills.

In addition to classroom teaching, I have supervised undergraduate and postgraduate research projects, participated in curriculum development, prepared and evaluated examinations, and mentored students in laboratory research. My teaching philosophy emphasizes critical thinking, evidence-based medicine, scientific integrity, and the application of molecular techniques in cancer diagnosis, prognosis, and translational research.

As a medical educator, I believe that teaching is a fundamental responsibility of every physician and academic. Beyond transferring knowledge, effective teaching helps prepare future healthcare professionals to become lifelong learners, critical thinkers, and competent clinicians. I strive to create an engaging learning environment that encourages scientific inquiry, active participation, and the integration of research into clinical practice.

I engage in numerous academic activities, such as attending workshops, assessing research, and participating in discussions with master's and doctoral students. I perform research for undergraduate students and oversee their research activities.
