I hold a Bachelor's degree in architectural engineering from the University of Mosul, a Master's degree in Architectural design and Vernacular Architecture, and a Ph.D. in the History of Architecture and Local Architecture from the University of Duhok. My academic and research interests focus on architectural history, vernacular architecture, cultural heritage, and the relationship between local identity and contemporary design. My future ambition is to contribute to architectural scholarship and education through research and teaching while promoting the preservation and integration of local architectural heritage into sustainable and context-sensitive design practices.

As a design teacher, I believe in combining theoretical knowledge with practical experience to create a meaningful learning environment. I view lectures as interactive conversations between the instructor and students rather than one-way transmissions of information. Teachers should encourage critical thinking, foster creativity, and maintain respect for diverse perspectives. Likewise, students should develop the ability to think independently, question ideas thoughtfully, and form their own informed opinions rather than simply accepting those of their instructors.
