In the frame of the DAAD research project, funded by Ta’ziz Network program, 2023-2025, “PR- GPS! Power Relations in Urban Governance: Participation in Public Space of the Arab Cities”, A delegation from the College of City and Regional Planning-UoD represented by the dean of the college Dr. Layla M. Raswol, the deputy head of Duhok Municipality and the deputy Manager of Parks and Garden directorate in Duhok participated in the first workshop of the Project on September 3-7. The project is supervised by Berlin Technical University and involved partner from academic and non academic institution from MENA Region countries(Jordan, Lebanon, Tunisia, Iraq, Egypt,Sudan) and the Berlin administration department of urban development. The delegation visited the urban development department in different districts in Berlin to get knowledge about the Urban Governance System in Germany and how to deal with the urban issues and public space functions.
