The Pedagogical Training and Academic Development Center at the University of Duhok held a workshop titled "Application of AI Tools for Academic Environments" for 25 participants, including postgraduate students, Higher Diploma, MA, and PhD holders from various departments at UOD. This 3-day workshop started on June 30, 2024, and will end on July 4.

In addition to boosting AI knowledge among its participants, this noteworthy workshop aims to equip them with essential skills in three key areas: how to identify papers relevant to their majors, how to summarize and extract content from these papers, and how to enhance their language skills for academic writing and research. It is designed as a practical training program, and certificates will be distributed to participants upon completion.

Dr. Mohammed Jameel, the Director of the Pedagogical Training and Academic Development Center and a specialist in computer sciences, semantic web, and AI, is leading the workshop as its trainer. He mentioned, "Due to increasing demand, registration will remain open until all interested individuals are enrolled."

Furthermore, this workshop marks the first round of its series. Another round is scheduled for the following week, with registration links set to open by the end of this week for subsequent rounds in the future. It is worth noting that the Pedagogical Training Center consistently offers various academic development programs to postgraduate students at UOD.
