UOD Contributes to International Collaboration in Special Education with New Book

The University of Duhok proudly announces its participation in the publication of "Inclusive (Teacher) Education after War," a collaborative effort between the Department of Special Education at the University of Dohuk, the University of Oldenburg, and Fichte University in Germany. This significant book, published in English by Waxmann, brings together Iraqi and German professors to explore the evolution of inclusive education and the preparation of specialized teachers in the field of special education.

Dr. Chachan Jumaa, a distinguished academic member from the University of Duhok, contributed a pivotal study to the book. His study dives into the modern educational landscape in Iraq and Kurdistan, tracing the historical establishment of universities and their evolution in the Kurdistan Region. Dr. Chachan highlights the region's commitment to training teachers in special education and integrating inclusive education practices for individuals with special needs into regular schools.

This publication marks a milestone in the ongoing collaboration between international institutions dedicated to advancing inclusive education and special education training. The University of Duhok continues to play a crucial role in fostering academic dialogue and innovation in this critical area.
