UOD Inaugurates its First Fine Arts Festival

The University of Duhok's College of Fine Arts proudly commenced its inaugural Fine Arts Festival today, marking the beginning of a three-day celebration of creativity and expression. The festival, hosted by the esteemed College of Fine Arts, promises an immersive experience into the world of theater and visual arts, highlighting the diverse talents of students and faculty.

The festival's grand opening, held at the Institute of Fine Arts Hall, welcomed esteemed guests and attendees with an atmosphere of anticipation and excitement. The event commenced with warm greetings and a resounding speech by the College of Fine Arts, delivered in a creative Dialogic style by a number of the college students and staff emphasizing the importance of artistic expression and creativity in today's society. Following this, Dr. Dawood Sulaiman Atrushi, President of the University of Duhok, delivered an inspiring address, underscoring the university's commitment to nurturing talent and promoting cultural diversity.

The highlight of the evening was the mesmerizing performance of the play "Hammock," written and directed by the esteemed Prof. Dr. Mohammed Sabri. The audience was captivated by the theatrical brilliance showcased by the talented cast and crew, further affirming the College of Fine Arts' dedication to excellence in the performing arts.

In addition to the enthralling performance, attendees had the opportunity to explore the Art Exhibition, located in the College. The exhibition, featuring a diverse array of plastic arts, provided a visual feast for art enthusiasts and offered insight into the creative vision of emerging and established artists. The Art Exhibition will continue for the duration of the festival, allowing visitors ample time to immerse themselves in the world of visual arts.
