UNIVERSITY OF DUHOK CONDUCTS A THREE-DAY TRIP FOR THE YOUTH OF THE NINEVEH PLAIN

Within the framework of the project “Support to Traditional Cultural Practice in Nineveh Plain”, the UOD conducted a three-day training activity on May 16-18, 2024 in Amedi district, for a number of Kakaiy and Christian youth in the Nineveh Plain.

It is worth mentioning that several different activities were carried out during this trip with the aim of getting to know the two communities better, and the participants engaged in several entertaining and educational activities in the region of Amedi.

This trip was supervised by Dr. Imran Omar and Dr. Nizar Amin, lecturers at the UOD, and was run by Shahad Abdullah and Pakhshan Sadiq from the Center for Peace and Conflict Resolution Studies of the UOD.

The program is part of the Laser Pulse project "Support to Traditional Cultural Practices in Nineveh Plain" backed by USAID and conducted by the UOD and its partner universities of Notre dame, Indiana, Purdue and the British University of Coventry.
