First Coordination and Networking Workshop for Youth Volunteers

In the framework of its joint project with GOAL GLOBAL “Area Based Recovery Approach Project in Musireek”, supported by UNDP’s Iraq Crisis Response and Resilience Programme (ICRRP) with funding from the Government of Japan, the Center for Peace and Conflict Resolution Studies has organized and conducted the First Coordination and Networking workshop for youth volunteers on 14 January 2019 at UoD Cultural Center. 27 people participated in this workshop (17 males, 10 Females), (22 HC, 4 IDPs, and 1 refugee); this number includes 20 volunteers, two GOAL Staff and five UoD Staff. This workshop aimed at introducing the volunteers to several topics that are essential to build their capacities in organizing their efforts and planning for their community initiative in Musireek.

Among the topics that delivered and discussed the concepts of networking, initiatives, and services; followed by a brainstorming of volunteers’ community initiatives. In addition, the volunteers were introduced to the networking criteria that need to be followed in their initiatives. The workshop ended with reviewing volunteers’ monthly action plan.
