Conflict Sensitivity, Tension Mapping and Monitoring

UoD Center for Peace and Conflict Resolution Studies (CPCRS) has organized a 3 hours seminar on “Conflict Sensitivity, Tension Mapping and Monitoring” on 28 January 2019. 50 local actors (28 males and 22 females) from Misureek town attended the seminar, 34 were from host community of Misureek, 7 from IDPs and 9 from refugees. The seminar introduced the participants to the concepts of conflict sensitivity, from where this idea has come and guidelines principles for conflict sensitivity. The meaning of do no harm, why and how to implement do no harm theory were also covered in this seminar. At the end of the seminar, there was a Q&A session.

Facilitated by Dr. Mamoun Abdulsamad, the seminar  has been hosted by Goal Global at Jiyan Hotel in Duhok, as one of its joint activities with CPCRS within  the project “Area Based Recovery Approach Project in Misureek”, supported by UNDP’s Iraq Crisis Response and Resilience Programme (ICRRP) with funding from the Government of Japan.
