I am a PhD student and Virologist with interest in all aspects of Viral diseases. My overall research aim is to better understand host-virus interactions. I am currently investigating how the Novel coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) regulates the expression of both ACE2 and TMPRSS2 genes in Covid-19 patients. Moreover, I am interested in monitoring the viral evolution in the community using sequencing and bioinformatics approaches.
