With a Fulbright Community Action Grant received by Fulbright alumnus and lecturer Jambally A. Mohammed, 30 students from Duhok Ishik Preparatory Schools for Girls (Duhok Ishik Girls College – Sterling Schools), as well as Kelabadre Preparatory School and Mezgeen Basic School in Sharya town have been trained in the application of photovoice and digital storytelling for community development.
Having gained sufficient skills in photography and digital storytelling and using their creative thinking, wonderful ideas and imagination, the participants created inspirational and motivational digital stories and photovoices to express their perspectives about different aspects of their urban environment.
