Community reporting for municipal infrastructure projects in KRI
April 19, 2022, 12:38 a.m.
The primary objective of this project financed by the GIZ grant is to ensure community
involvement in the assessment, planning, and implementation of municipal infrastructure
projects and to create communication content. This overall objective is defined by the
following benchmarks:
  • Describing the process and activities undertaken to ensure active participation of the target groups (community) in the assessment, planning and implementation of the project.
  • Create content necessary for effective communication with relevant institutions about successful stories on the community involvement process in municipal infrastructure projects in KRI.
In order to achieve this objective, the following measures are planned to be undertaken:
  • Training of community reporters: eight community reporters, two per each of the four governorates are to be trained so that they are capable of providing the necessary know-how in planning and organizing participatory activities such as focus groups and interviews, key informatory interviews and/or, open houses/workshops.
  • Outreach to the communities: For each KRI governorate, the community reporters will focus on two selected municipal infrastructure projects sites. They will conduct interviews and collect stories of success and change from public institutions/people.
