This course is applied for 1st stage and is established to perform the main aspects of practical biology in field of zoology based on the description firstly of the cell and it's division stages, with focusing on the use of Microscope its tools, equipment and each part's function. Other main syllabus of the course would be emphasis on the classification of zoology kingdom and covering the main classes and families of animals with examples of each class.
The course main goals are;
- Definition of cell and how preparing the cell in the lab
- Introduce the animal kingdom to the students
- Students should be familiar well with using of the Microscope.
- Students should be able to differentiate between the classes of animal kingdom and its families.

The computer skills consist of seven modules these include:
Module 1 Concepts of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) that gives the main concepts of ICT at a general level, and to know about the different parts of a computer.
Module 2 Using the Computer and Managing Files, it gives the ability to demonstrate competence in running and managing a personal computer.
Module 3 Word Processing, it gives the ability to use a word processing application to create everyday letters and documents.
Module 4 Spread sheets, it gives the understanding to the concept of spread sheets and demonstrates an ability to use a spread sheet to produce accurate work outputs.
Module 5 Using Databases, it gives the understanding to the concept of a database and demonstrates competence in using a database.
Module 6 Presentation, it gives the ability to demonstrate competence in using presentation software.
Module 7 Web Browsing and Communication is divided into two sections. The first section, Web Browsing, it gives the knowing about the Internet and to use a web browsing application.
All modules presents all the necessary computer skills an individual may need in a straightforward and intelligent way. It demystifies computers and is ideal for those wishing to develop their skills and confidence in the subject whilst working at their own pace.
This course covers the fundamental understanding of computer functions and how to navigate the desktop. Computer Skills implies that one is comfortable with using computer software and other applications that are related to the computer such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Access. Also it covers the hardware components that the desktop content.

This course is about analytical chemistry, which is the most important branch of chemistry. It aims to apply knowledge of chemistry to understand basic types of analysis. The goal of this course is to provide students the knowledge of how to do a chemist’s share in improving analytical skills like:
1) Distinguish between qualitative and quantitative measurements.
2) Demonstrate knowledge of sampling methods for all states of matter.
3) Recognize interferences in chemical analysis.
4) Assess sources of error in chemical analysis.
Before taking this course, students should revise the following units from their chemistry course in high school: Gas laws and properties, Solutions and concentration units, Chemical Equilibrium, Ionic Equilibrium, Acid base reactions and equilibrium. Student’s attendance is essential to collect the knowledge about analytical chemistry and completion of all tests and assessments to pass the course successfully.
In general this course applies the fundamental principles of analytical chemistry to gain an understanding of the types, roles, and applications of analytical chemistry.
The first chapter discusses and familiarizes students with the various types and divisions of analytical chemistry beside some statistical types of errors associated with analytical techniques.
In the following chapters emphasis is given to the chemical equilibria and different titrimetric methods of analysis.
The student's first course is usually in qualitative analysis, and then he takes a course in quantitative analysis in which he analyzes simple inorganic substances. Consequently, a student who has completed a first course may conclude that analytical chemistry is concerned mostly with the analysis of inorganic substances with simple instruments and procedures.
Quantitative analytical measurements also play a vital role in many research areas in chemistry, biochemistry, biology, geology, and the other sciences. Chemists unravel the mechanisms of chemical reactions through reaction rate studies. The rate of consumption of reactants or formation of products in a chemical reaction can be calculated from quantitative measurement made at equal time intervals.
A course in elementary quantitative analysis is essential for the development of fundamental laboratory skills in future chemists because it is not only serves to acquaint people with how laboratory analyses are made; it is also expected to help them later to judge the reliability of laboratory results when they become business executives, physicians, or laboratory supervisors and make decisions based on laboratory results
