Under the supervision of the deanery of the College of Pharmacy, the Medicinal Chemistry Department hosted a workshop under the title: "Clinical linguistics: the potential contribution of linguistics to Medical sciences" in November 25th, 2019. It is worth to mention that the department invited the professor, Dr. Basim Yahaya Jasim, the applied linguist, from university of Mosul to deliver a presentation about the aforementioned topic. At the beginning, Mr. Nashwan, lecturer at the department of Medicinal Chemistry, opened the workshop by a welcoming speech , then he presented the brief summary about the topic and the CV of the professor, after that, the professor gave a detailed description about the topic and at the end of the workshop there was enough time for the audience to ask questions and the professor thankfully answered them. At the end of the workshop, the whole staff of college thanked the professor and requested him to come again for more information about clinical linguistics.
