The Department of Basic Sciences is established in 2020-2021. The department acts as a catalyst to support all the courses at undergraduate level in various domains in the first two year of bachelor’s degree.

The department deals with the sciences that are basic to be learned in pharmacy science, it presents science as a rational and systematic observation, identification, description, experimental investigation, and theoretical explanation of all subjects. Basic medical sciences are essential for building proper medical education, knowledges and foundation in practicing pharmaceutical medical sciences.

Basic Sciences department stress the importance of critical thinking and logical reasoning and enhance the student's skills in language and IT through teaching first year students subjects like Academic Debate, English language and computer science. The college also contributes expertise in the subject disciplines of Anatomy, Histology, Immunology, Medical Microbiology, Biophysics, Genetics and Biology; establishing a comprehensive curriculum delivered within an effective learning environment.
