About the Program

Summary

The duration of this program is four years, including two semesters for each year. The program includes the study, design and operation of water resource systems and water resources management. The program introduces students to the theory, tools, and techniques of engineering design and creative problem-solving in water resources engineering. Students will study various topics during four years of study, such as dams engineering, hydraulics engineering, design of hydraulic structures, water supply engineering, hydrology engineering, irrigation systems, etc.

The graduated engineers from water resources department have opportunities to employ in the construction industries relating to their specialization, as a design engineer, site engineer, project manager or quality engineer. They also work on construction sites, consulting firms, government institutions, or pursue postgraduate education. Graduates also may become entrepreneurs, faculty members and active researchers.

Student Outcomes

(j) a knowledge of contemporary issues

(k) an ability to use the techniques, skills, and modern engineering tools necessary for engineering practice.

Program Educational Objectives

The educational objectives of the Water Resources Engineering Program are represented in the following pivots:

  1. Provide the graduates with trendy manners of water resources application.
  2. Improve the abilities of the graduates to update their knowledge and adapt with developed technology.
  3. Build the engineering mind of the graduates to focus on the project’s quality and economy in the design.
