About the College of Engineering
The College of Engineering is one of the biggest colleges at University of Duhok with a national reputation in engineering. It has established in 1994 with 40 students and 6 full-time academic members and has kept growing ever since. We have over 1350 undergraduate and graduate students and 134 academics across the seven academic departments, namely, Civil Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, Surveying Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering and Biomedical Engineering, including 23 teaching and research laboratories.
Mission
The college expected to offer services to the society through the students who graduate from its departments. The educational environment designed to meet the student's needs and to provide them with professional skills that are required for becoming a successful engineer. Employing modern teaching methods, updated research laboratories and computer facilities were the great factors in achieving this goal.
Vision
We have already experienced great success as a college, and we intend to build on that. We are looking for the internationalization of our college via creating the double-degree program with well-known universities. Our vision is to compete to be the best engineering college in the Kurdistan region of Iraq and to be amongst the best in Iraq.
