The College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences/ Department of Horticulture at the University of Duhok is hosting a workshop entitled:
"For Better Horticulture Development"
during the period 09th - 10th of March 2022.
from 9:00 AM to 02:00 PM (Local Duhok Time).
The workshop will be held in the Horticulture Department at the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences.
Different activities will be held during the workshop like (Presenting Seminars, Poster presentations, Horticultural products exhibitions, etc.)
Below is the timetable of the workshop:
- Increasing the activity of staff of the horticultural department.
- Increasing the activity of staff of the horticultural department through their participation in preparing and supervising the activities of the workshop.
This workshop was conducted in the Department of Horticulture, College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences / University of Duhok during the days of March 9-10. The workshop was an overture by the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Abed Ali Hassan, in the presence of the heads of the scientific departments in the college and a large number of staff of the department and college. Then the head of the department Prof. Dr. Shawkat Mustafa Al-Atrushy welcomes the audience. The workshop included several activities on the first day, such as presenting scientific seminars in the field of fruits, an exhibition of ornamental plants and vegetables, and displaying some types of exotic fruits and types of natural honey, in addition to an exhibition of books and types of medicinal oils. On the second day, we were
honored by the presence of the President of the University, Dr. Daoud Atrushy, and the exhibition of student posters was an overture by the President of the University. The seminars in the field of vegetables and ornamental plants continued until the end of the day, and then the workshop was concluded with a word by the head of the department.
The main objectives of the workshop are the following:
- Presentation of seminars in all disciplines of horticulture.
- Increase knowledge and experience in a specific area of discussion and training.
- Develop a plan to reach a mechanism of action in a collective manner.
- Learn new skills and accelerate the acquisition of experience for new staff.
- Acquiring additional competencies that may lead to a change in human attitudes and behavior, as the barrier of shyness or monopoly in teaching and learning experiences is broken.
- It helps people by turning them into cohesive teams.
