Today (21/12/2021) First Academic Workshop entitled " Issues in Linguistics and Translation" held by the Department of English, College of Basic Education_ Amedi, University of Duhok on the 21st of December, 2021 . Four prominent figures from University of Mosul participated in the workshop , each with a different topic of interest belonging to different fields including phonology, translation,discourse analysis and pragmatics. A word of thanks goes to the Dean of the College, Prof.Dr. Karavan Amedi for supporting us in organizing the workshop. Special thanks are extended to Prof. Dr. Mohamed Basil Al_ Azzawi, Prof. Dr. Abdulrahman Al- Qazzaz, Prof. Dr. Luqman Abdulkarim Nasser, Prof.Dr. Salem Yahya Fathi and Asst. Prof. Dr. Ahmed Hayder Sigar for participating in the workshop .
