The University of Duhok, College of Humanities, won the first-place prize in the documentary film category in the Sharjah International Film Festival. The prize was for a documentary film called (Challenge), directed by Reber Rushdy.

Mr. Reber Rushdy indicated that 22 universities from Arab countries, which included 66 short films and documentaries, participated in the Sharjha International Film Festival.
