The Vice President for Scientific Affairs, Dr. Luqman Hadi Hasan met the directors and representatives of the centers at the University of Duhok in March, 18th, 2021. The director of the website office at the university and representative of quality assurance also attended the meeting. The subject of discussion was about activating and documenting the activities of the university.
Dr. Luqman referred to the basic role of the website unit at the university. This unit plays an important role in different ways especially in the ranking of the university both nationally and internationally. Posting the activities and events of the university affects in this matter since the university is participating in the British International Ranking of Universities and any activity published in the website counts.
On the other hand, Dr. Luqman emphasized on the necessity of collaboration amongst the centers in carrying out the activities. The events that happen without being documented are usually lost. Hence, it is very necessary to announce and document any event that takes place at the university by the website unit.
On his part, the director of the website unit, Azad Adel, explained the way the data can be set, and how the links related to the centers are being updated on the university website. The news and activities of the university must be given importance by being published in the three languages, Kurdish, Arabic, and English. The meeting ended with discussing the views of the attendants and their recommendations to develop work in this field.
