During the meeting and International Conference of the IAU in Accra Ghana, on the 16th to 20th of October 2017, the President of the University of Duhok Prof. Mosleh Duhoky represents Kurdistan Region and Iraq in the conference activities as a member of the board of the IAU. The theme of the conference was “Leadership for changing Public Private Higher Education Funding Landscape”.
The 2017 IAU International Conference focused on the role, responsibilities, expectations, and needs of higher education leaders – rectors, presidents, but also deans and department heads in higher education in this new and shifting landscape when faced with the changing nature of higher education. Speakers were from both mostly public, and private higher education institutions.
The President of the University of Duhok met with the President of University of Dublin Professor Andrew J Deeks and they discussed the different possibilities for future collaborations. Also, he met with President of the University of Bucharest for Political Science, they discussed the different academic issues and challenges in the academia.

Professor Duhoky discussed general academic issues with the president of NAFSA Prof. Elaine Meyer-Lee and the new NAFSA conference and its them were also discussed.
