Physics is the study of the natural laws that govern matter, energy, time, and space. The main goal of the Department of Physics is to prepare professionals in theoretical and applied physics to meet the employment market demand.
Mission
The mission of the Physics Department is to provide a positive, active learning environment for undergraduate students to explore physics. This department teaches various groups of students, including non-science majors, physics majors, physics minors, other science majors, and pre-professional students. The physics program of study presents multiple opportunities for students to develop as scientists, through course offerings, laboratory activities, and undergraduate research.
