About the DepartmentThe department has a strong mission to provide high quality professional education in mathematics for students and conduct first – class research in pure and applied mathematics. Also it offers courses for students in other departments and faculties.
Mission
The mission of the Department of Mathematics is to provide lifelong community access to a dynamic curriculum that emphasizes mathematical concepts, communication and applications through a commitment to sound pedagogy. In a mathematically dependent society the department will strive to anticipate and meet the evolving needs of our students, our faculty, our university and our community.
