 About the Department

Mission:

Biology at the University of Duhok is a broadly-based department with faculty interested in biological problems at the molecular, organism, and population levels. The department focuses on the following areas ecology, botany, biophysics, behavior and evolution, physiology, endocrinology and reproduction, and call and molecular biology. Each program has its own unique strengths and curricula. The fundamental mission of the Biology Department is to provide an intensive, progressive, and balanced learning experience in cell and molecular biology, organismal biology, and environmental biology. The department is committed to offering research opportunities to all interested and qualified students. Also it offers courses that satisfy general education and service courses for majors in clinical science, health science, liberal studies, physical education, and human services.

 Objectives
To graduate students  , specialized in Biology and its practical applications, being able to take active part in the   Biology and Microbiology Laboratory and hospitals, also can able to teach in the schools and produce intelligent students to teach all branches of Biology in the college and medical institution for get  the specialized researches To take part in solving as many scientific problems, also take part in solving as many industrial problems that  benefit all people , To carry out scientific research directed for the improvement, development and advancement in the Biology  fields.
