Normally different cases arrive at the clinics on daily bases for different purposes: Diagnostic, Preventive or for Treatment.

Yesterday’s case was a horse with completely closed left eye.

A number of students received the case under the supervision of

- Dr. Nathem Jawad Hassan

- Dr. Nawzat Abozaid Issa

Different examinations through inspections and palpation applied to the case.

The animal was unable to open the left eye completely with sever secretions extended to one month ago. No foreign body was detected in the eye.

The case was taken care of and treated by washing the eye carefully with normal saline. An antibiotic eye ointment prescribed to be applied to the eye on daily bases plus NSAID – anti-inflammatory drops.

Additionally; The animal was supplied with some vitamins.
