The Students Center at the University of Duhok hosted an exhibition spotlighting banking services today, May 2, 2024. Organized by the College of Management and Economics at the University of Duhok in collaboration with the Erbil Branch of the Central Bank of Iraq and the Union of Iraqi Banks, the event aimed to enhance financial literacy and promote awareness of electronic financial solutions among students and the wider community.

Notable attendees included Solomon Ishu, Deputy Governor of Duhok, and Dr. Bassam Ahmad Abdullah, Dean of the College of Management and Economics. Representatives from various banking institutions convened to demonstrate a range of electronic financial services, including Visa Card, Mastercard, and other innovative offerings, all provided complimentary to attendees.

This exhibition coincides with a global tradition observed annually in numerous countries, dedicated to fostering public understanding of financial matters and facilitating access to modern banking solutions. The overarching goal is to empower citizens with knowledge about the diverse services offered by financial institutions, promoting financial inclusivity and engagement.
